It’s the happiest time of year – Ski season is just around the corner
It’s every snowboarder and skier enthusiasts favourite time of the year, and we’re not talking about Christmas.
As enthusiasts prep for the upcoming season, Ski resorts around the country are gearing up for another busy year.
British Columbia with it’s sprawling mountains and diverse terrains across the province, it’s considered the center of attraction.
While Whistler Blackcomb offers 8,000 acres of terrain, endless trails and 36 lifts this resort is expected to open November 21. Along with the long awaited anticipation of the resort opening, they also celebrate their 60th anniversary in 2025 – 2026.
Our backyard ski resort, Big White Ski Resort, offers roughly 2,765 acres of skiable terrain, making it an awesome spot to plant those skiis. The ski season is set to open November 27th, 2025 for the 2025-2026 season.
Lifts start operating at 8:45am with the official end time for the day at 3:30pm. Big White currently doesn’t list which runs will be open.
Keep in mind that many lifts and runs may be closed until we receive full snow conditions, grooming is completed along with safety checks. Check the Big White website directly for the live lift status and hours.
