Leader of the year is none other than Michael J from Big White Ski Resort
You may have heard his voice roaring over the airways on popular radio stations like Virgin Radio. Michael J. Ballingall, otherwise known as “Michael J from Big White Ski Resort” (picture a loud and boisterous voice vibrating through your car speakers on your daily commute) has been named business leader of the year by Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.
Michael J. received the highest honor at the Delta grand hotel in Kelowna on October 30th.
The winners list was announced that evening, along with Michael J receiving the honor for business leader of the year.
Michael J. shared his sentiments with media outlets, “It is such an amazing honor to receive the 38th edition of the Kelowna business leader of the year from the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce.”
Past recipients include Sam Samaddar of Kelowna International Airport, Co-found lane Merrifield of Club Penguin, among other well known leaders in the Okanagan.
His love of tourism is endless, sitting on many boards that he deems beneficial to the Okanagan’s tourism industry including Tourism Kelowna, and the Canadian Ski Council. If that’s not enough, he is also the President of the Tourism Big White Society, Chair of the TELUS Interior and Northern BC Community Board.
